As Vice President Global Sustainability of Kempinski Hotels, Julia Massey develops company-wide standards and initiatives that redefine sustainability around the brand´s guest experience.
Julia Massey has 14 years of experience in consulting and managing the areas around sustainability and climate change. During this time she advised some of the world´s largest gas and oil derivatives companies on developing and communicating their sustainability strategies. Among others, she managed the sustainability, reporting and auditing at OMV, Austria´s largest oil and gas company. In addition, she managed greenhouse gas reduction projects within the scope of Kyoto Protocol for the South East Asia region, which were financed by major European investment funds.
Julia Massey holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna, Italy.
